Hi neighbors! I’m wondering who you all use for gas (propane) service and tank refills. Our house doesn’t have any gas lines, and because I’m planning to switch over our electric range to a gas one, we’ll need to find a service to install a tank and line. Can you recommend any local companies with whom you’ve had a particularly good (or bad) experience? Bonus points if you’ve had this done at your house and can share any insight or tips on the process. (Don’t worry, we’ve read up on the HOA guidelines regarding gas tank size/location/screening requirements and we’ll do it all by the books. ☺️)

We have a buried tank in our side yard that is maintained and filled by Quality Oil. They are great to work with! Not sure of the cost to install the tank but for us to fill it it was around $300 but we are still using that fuel and it’s been almost a year.
Hey Summer Hill Farms ! We have two items that are going away but if anyone was interested please come and get. A round dining table 60 inches in diameter commercial grade and an executive desk that I was attempting to distress but have since changed my mind. Desk drawers all work perfectly. Anyone have any dealings with any companies that provide parts for the garage doors that TrueHomes installed? Apparently the Wayne Dalton door systems they use are not readily available anywhere anymore. I am in need of a spring for the left-hand side of my double garage door.

Did your know that our plumbing fixtures are Moen and have a lifetime warranty? I have a shower cartridge that needs to be replaced. I googled their CS number and they were able to identify what part I needed (without a serial number or receipt) and are sending it to me for FREE!

Hi everyone Be careful coming into our community this afternoon. When the recycling truck picked up today it dropped some crushed rocks and glass in the road by our cans. I swept up the the ones that were in front of cans on my road (cedarpark) by my neighbors and my house but when I left the community recently I realized the piles are on other streets also.
My street too. I’ll be sweeping it up once I’m back from picking my kids up.
I called Republic and they are going to see what happened with the truck, so hopefully it will be fixed. Not sure if they will come out and clean up, but she said she was going to forward because it is a safety concern.
There was a huge pile near my house on Oakcrest as well. I got it up but may have missed some…just fyi.

Hey Everyone,Just a friendly reminder that if you make ANY enhancements to your property we ask that you reach out to the ARC. We will let you know if a formal submission is required. We are approaching a busy time of year with projects so please visit the neighborhood website and review the covenants so you understand what is and is not allowed. You are more than welcome to reach out to myself or any other member of ARC but please know we may not respond immediately. We all work for a living and only volunteer to help our neighborhood.
Please be considerate and reach out ahead of time. Anything that is permanent in your yard (except seasonal flowers) should have an approval and we do have discretion. We asked for residents to join the ARC and got 2 submissions so if this upsets you, please apply next time we offer.
Also, we have had some issues getting emails forwarded on the ARC email. We are working on a resolution. If you don’t hear back within 2 weeks feel free to message me directly. The automatic message gives us 30 days but until we figure it out I am fine to receive messages.

Anyone have a contact for someone to consult about a French drain? I know a few people in the neighborhood have done their own, but I’ll need to hire someone to do it. True Homes did a crap job on my side yard and swore it would get better after a few years, but clearly that’s not happening.

This is who we have had come do a deep cleaning of our house here and previous. Haven’t used them for regular monthly cleaning but they do offer it. Prices range depending on what you want done but typically when we have it done for the holidays it’s around $400 for whole house top to bottom. There are normally three people that come and they do an amazing job. They charge by the hour.

Hey neighbors I’m not sure who is burning Rubber in their back yard but my lungs are killing me I had to take my pump 3 times already… and it’s that illegal… anyone can just go outside or open their garage and you can smell it… Please be Considerate of other people…

Its very common for people to burn their garbage in Davie county. Its possible it was coming from someone off Markland rd.

In order to make it happen, I need to gather LOTS of crayons in Yellow, Blue, White, and Black. It doesn’t matter if they are broken or old. If you have some, would you mine donating to this?The plan is to give each child a pair of crazy socks (we “Rock our Socks” for World DS Day because chromosomes sort of look like socks), a sucker, and a marbled crayon. I want to show them that we are all more alike than different. I’m going to melt the crayons down into marbled heart shapes, so each crayon will be a little bit different, but all will be special…just like each child.

Duke power is responsible for the lights. There is a number to call or you can report it online.

Where can I find the run down of finances for the HOA? When we moved here the fees were not almost 300$. I’d really like to know why it’s that high when we don’t even have common areas with anything in them like a shelter or pool or courts etc.

An agreement was made with Duke during the contruction of our community. In addition we do maintain 4 public areas which drive up the landscaping costs (area behind mailboxes, across from mailboxes, front entrance and recently an area off of Sprucewood. Feel free to call any of us on the HOA Board (contact info on website).
We moved here in 2016. The dues were already set in place by the developers. Dues have remained the same since we have been here...even during those years that we had a deficit in the budget. Last year was the first time I can recall that we did not have a deficit. I highly encourage residents to consider being on the ARC or Board to learn about what it truly entails for VOLUNTEERS to keep our community a place we all want to call home. We work on all kinds of issues including the
oops..including the 'loud' cars that often sped through the neighborhood. Countless hours spent rectifying that situation. Please, please call me at 336-817-4190 with any suggestions, etc. I don't think FB should be the platform to put in 'cutting' comments. Great example are the pine needles...took us 3 weeks (during summer of 2021 pine needles were scarce)...they finally delivered and we asked for help to spread the day they delivered...would have loved to have given more notice if the cirumstances were different.

I know the committee has 30 days to respond so I’m not asking for a rush job or anything like that, I know everybody is busy! I imagine the turnaround time could vary based on y’all’s schedules, workload, time of year, etc. (More just asking out of curiosity and to be able to give a landscaping company a basic time frame for their scheduling purposes.)When I sent in the ARC forms I’ve gotten what seems like an autoreply so instead of pestering that email address I thought I might reach out here and see if anyone can advise.

Last July, many neighbors raised concerns over the speed limit in our neighborhood and requested some form of action be taken. In response to these concerns, I contacted the appropriate authorities on behalf of the HOA, reporting that the state mandated speed limit was 35mph, however we could lower this to 25mph by submitting a petition signed by 70% of residents. We formed a committee of neighborhood volunteers to go door to door to collect signatures. Despite our best efforts we were less than 5 signatures away from hitting our goal therefore the petition could not be submitted. During the annual meeting, as well as on the Facebook page, I reported this asking for those who had not signed to reach out. The local authorities held off as long as they could before placing the sign designating our neighborhood speed limit as 35mph.

We have been fortunate and have never lost power other than a few flickers.
We once lost it for a couple of hours, but it was during the day, so it didn’t really matter.
We lost it for several hours one time in the evening in 2018.
Anyone missing a few dogs? There is a lab and two beagles (I think) running around. We called the number on the collar but it’s going straight to voicemail. They wouldn’t get close enough to catch. Just want them to be warm tonight!
Their humans just called back. They recently moved to the neighborhood so they will be out looking for them!

Please know we have addressed this situation with management company and renters via personal discussions with renters, violation and hearing letters and then fines since August. We will send certified letter tomorrow to management company with additional fines. If it doesn’t stop we will consult with Superior on next steps. Chris and Josh, we have been working on this to no avail. We will continue to pursue.

Happy Holidays, everyone! I’m am not trying to be a grinch but, can we please abide by the covenants and keep your animals in your yard. I was walking my dogs this morning, when out of nowhere, a white German shepherd ran up to me and my dogs. He was in an aggressive/defensive stance with his hair all sticking up and went directly to my male dog. Yes, this dog may be friendly but I don’t know that. They are still animals with animal instincts. It scared the heck out of me! There was another German shepherd behind him, but he stayed in the yard.
Please keep your animals in your yard/on a leash so others can enjoy the community.

Not sure where you were, but I know that dog because she used to be mine. I understand your fear, but she is absolutely a sweetheart. The owner said she had her collar on to keep her in the yard. I’m not trying to be in the middle, just letting you know.

Good morning. We are new to this community. This morning I found my mailbox on the ground. Has anyone had this happen to them? Looks like someone or something hit it. I can see the hit on one of the sides. Does anyone know who I call to get it fixed?
Oh no! We are new here too so I’m not sure about mailbox repair people, but my first thought would be to see if your neighbors across the street have a doorbell camera that might have recorded this happening. Not cool!
I’m part of the group mailboxes, but I did see yours on the ground this morning when I took my son to the bus stop. Do any of your neighbors have cameras? Maybe we can see who is responsible.

I have had some people reach out and ask if I’m doing HOt chocolate bombs for the holidays. I am taking orders . All bombs are individually wrapped with a sealed clear plastic wrap unless specified that you want them in a gift box .Most people order them as class gifts , teachers gifts , or for patients and client appreciation gifts. Your business card can be included with the packaging. They are also great stocking stuffers.

Please join us participating in the 2021 Light a Luminary charity for the Ronald McDonald House. We will be welcoming Santa in our neighborhood December 16th as well as lighting our luminaries. Please place luminaries 5' apart along the front of your yard, lining the streets as we support this great cause. Kits are $10 each and include 6 bags, 6 lights and sand. To the parents of the 5th graders who ride the bus…specifically, Shawn, Eli, and Kaiden:Your boys are so amazing! Every day, they take the time to talk to my 1st grade son, Elijah, give him hugs, and even given him a few Pokemon cards. Does anyone recognize this car?? They came down Oakcrest and took pictures of all the houses then came back and drove off when I went to ask what they were doing.

Yeah, I saw whoever this was clearly take a picture of my house. By the time I got outside, this person was down the street. I was just curious as to why they took the picture.

My ring camera caught this car doing the same on sprucewood. Even back tracked to do something.. (I’m assuming taking pictures)

I have seen this car two days in a row I believe. I thought it was odd they kept slowing down in front of my neighbor’s house and it caught my attention as I was working in my office. I noticed today there was balloon in the back that kept floating up and down. I figured maybe they were tending to a kid in the back or something. Thanks for keeping a look out everyone!
We have confirmed that it is not the HOA or a Superior rep. We are looking into this as we understand it is a concerning to many of us.
What a great neighborhood...thank you all for being on the lookout for suspicious activity and acting on it. HOA knows who the individual was and their intentions which is regarding HOA. While we won’t identify individual, please know we will be working on issue. Happy Thanksgiving and sorry for the disruption.

Does anyone know who owns the pumpkin patch land across the street? We’d like to get permission to coyote hunt and thin the herd. There are way too many sightings in this neighborhood, all of your outdoor small pets are at risk.

I just checked with the owners and they hunt it and aren’t allowing others to hunt it. It is leased for farming rights.
